Welcome back, y’all.
That was a nice break. We relaxed, and reflected. Now, we’re back at our keyboards staring straight into the void.
I wanted to do something to cheer you up!
Long, deeply-researched pieces are great and all, but it’s also nice to have someone throw a fun fact at you and run away.
Every Monday/start of week on Don’t Go Outside, I promise to share something dumb and fun and keep it as short as possible.
THIS WEEK: COSMIC LATTE
Cosmic Latte seemed to be firmly lodged in the weirdo literary zeitgeist when I was a teen and it stuck with me. However, any time I saw it referenced thereafter, I always misattributed it in my mind as a darker, more milk-chocolatey shade. Less milky and more camel knapsack. Seeing the true tone for the first time recently felt like the trying to say “halcyon” out loud after a lifetime of only reading it.
I find it to be a neat concept. Mix all the colors in the world up and calculate the average! My house is painted this color and if I were more poetic, I’m sure that could mean something beautiful!
For your records, here’s the Pantone reference:
Have a great week!
